A Change of Heart Toward Biking in the Fall

Written By Body Wipe Company

I have to admit that over the years, as soon as the colder fall weather hits the Midwest, my bike season is officially over until spring. But with the change in climate over the last couple of seasons, the spring has been starting later and the weather seems to be not as cold come September and October. As with the change in climate, I have had a change in heart when it comes to biking in the fall. Although I need to dress a little warmer, I have found riding on the leave-covered trails to be nothing short of exhilarating. The beautiful fall colors that surround you, in addition to the smell of the autumn leaves on the ground, has really opened my mountain biking senses to riding during this part of the year. It is definitely an added fall season bonus when the short blast of “Indian Summer” weather warms things up a touch to remind you what a great summer of biking it has been. As with every year, my biking season does eventually end. Next month, I wouldn’t be surprise if snowflakes were in the forecast. But the chance of me fatbiking this winter, well that is not in the cards because after all, I just started riding in the fall!
